From the desk of Sashay’s Lady in Waiting:

It’s a brilliant morning and I’m heading to Midtown Atlanta to meet with the gals of Sashay. I have the highest honor of being Sashay’s Lady in Waiting this summer. A “Lady in Waiting” is a fancy title I came up with to replace the term most associated with fetching coffee, going on lunch runs, and peeling FedEx labels - “intern”. It also refers to a female personal assistant who attends to a queen or princess. A Lady in Waiting is considered a companion to her mistress. All brides should be treated like royalty and feel like beautiful princesses on their wedding day. Sashay wants to be that friendly companion by your side making sure everything runs fabulously, while sharing a joke or two.

My name is Marisa Negri and I’m a complete, total, undying sap when it comes to weddings. They’re so happy and beautiful and solely unique - what’s not to love? Your wedding represents the seal of unconditional love between you and your groom-to-be. It’s the official beginning of the rest of your life together. And there I go being a big fat sap again.

Hmm now for a little about myself. I’m an upcoming senior at the University of Georgia. I'm an All American lacrosse player. James Franco once asked me to be his girlfriend. I’ve scaled Mt. Everest...twice. I’m a dual citizen in Italy and America. I’ve moved 11 times. I bake 30 minute meals in 20 minutes. I'm undeniably eccentric and I don't care who knows it. I once single-handedly stopped a burglary. I finished first in the Running of the Bulls. I read entire novels during my lunch breaks. I’m also extremely humble. Can you guess which of those statements are true? Hint: Not many.

Until next time,

Marisa “Sashay’s Lady in Waiting”
